Internally Displaced Persons and Communities: Building Tolerance Through Dialogue

Target audience:

Initiative groups and organizations of women IDPs, host communities and representatives of local authorities of the host communities.

About the project:

The goal is to summarize and analyze the experience and achievements of the previos stage of the project, build on achievements, strengthen the initiative groups, fostering cooperation between the IDPs and host communities as well as local authorities and support the creation of organizations of those IDPs initiative groups are ready for institutionalization.

Project objectives:

• To strengthen the capacity and motivation of internally displaced persons as agents of change in their own lives and their communities;
• To improve dialogue between internally displaced persons and the host community, to support their initiatives and solutions to the community problems;
• Foster co-operation between IDPs and the host communities, on the one side and local authorities on the other side. Complete the modality of such cooperation by the developing of policies and procedures in which three parties can interact in terms of community development.
