Opening of photo exhibition “Women and Conflict in Ukraine”

Photo exhibition “Women and Conflict in Ukraine” was organized by UN in Ukraine together with the Ministry of Social Policy and Ukrainian Women’s Fund within 16 Days Against Gender Violence Campaign. Over 40 photos selected for the exhibition tell the stories of Ukrainian women, who perform different roles in hard times for Ukraine – they are women-soldiers, women-doctors, women-volunteers, etc.
Official opening of the exhibition will take place on December 3, 2014 at 17:00 in the premises of the Small exhibition hall in Ukrainian House.

Maryna Poroshenko, the First Lady, Neal Walker, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine, Nuzhat Ehsan, UNFPA Representative in Ukraine, Natalia Fedorovychm the Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Iryna Herashchenko, the People’s Deputy and women depicted on the exhibited photos (volunteers, activists, journalists) took part in the opening ceremony. Natalia Karbowska, Board Chair of Ukrainian Women’s Fund was the opening ceremony’s moderator

The exhibition will be open till December 10.
