Promoting of preventing violence against women by girls-leaders among their peers

About the project:

The 2-year project “Promoting violence against women by young girls as leaders among their peers” is implemented with the financial support of the UN Trust Fund to support actions to eliminate violence against women.

Project objectives:

• prevention of gender-based violence among young people in communities;
• dissemination of information in order to raise awareness of young girls and women about the detection and counteraction to various forms and manifestations of violence;
• promoting non-violent behavior towards girls and women among peers and encouraging assistance to victims of violence.

Within the framework of the project NGOs were provided with grants for the implementation of projects that meet the following criteria:

– aimed at raising awareness of young girls and boys to identify different types of violence, methods of confrontation and dissemination of experience among peers;
– provide for at least 2 trainings and 3 events that were developed during the training: “Combating violence among adolescents” (poster competition, quests, debates, etc.)
