About the project:

The project goal is to build capacity and motivation of women to run for office and come into decision-making bodies at the local/community and regional level, as well as provide support to their initiatives aimed at institutionalizing women’s political participation and addressing women’s needs and concerns.

This goal will both help women enjoy their right to political participation and improve the quality of decisions of these bodies for everyone.

Project objectives:

• Provide leadership and thematic training to elected women, women who are community leaders, and activists.
• Foster networking among women activists and women elected to local councils; Institutionalize these alliances through promoting the establishment and then providing support to activities of women’s caucuses in local councils.
