Ukrainian Women’s Fund announces the call for proposals to support constituency building for women's/ feminist organizations of Ukraine within Women’s Voice and Leadership – Ukraine project

Women’s Voice and Leadership – Ukraine project is a five-year project under Global Affairs Canada’s Women’s Voice and Leadership program. The project supports Ukrainian women’s rights organizations, activists, and collaborative platforms to achieve their institutional, programmatic and advocacy goals so they can contribute effectively to the full realization of human rights by women and girls and the advancement of gender equality in Ukraine.

The project contributes to achieving this outcome through three objectives:

• improved management and sustainability of local women’s rights organizations (WROs) in Ukraine, particularly those representing vulnerable and marginalized women and girls;
• enhanced performance of WROs programming and advocacy, as well as development and implementation of local, regional and national initiatives aimed to advance gender equality in Ukraine;
• increased effectiveness of national and sub-national women’s /feminist platforms, networks and alliances to affect gender-sensitive policy change and policy implementation in Ukraine.

The project is implemented in all regions of Ukraine.

Priority areas of the call:

It is expected that the support of the “Women’s Voice and Leadership – Ukraine” project will lead to implementation of initiatives, aimed to support organizations’ work with their constituencies and volunteers.

We expect that the initiatives of women’s rights organizations will contribute to teambuilding and development of lasting and responsible volunteering, increase in number of organizations’ members, volunteers, and supporters, as well as to inclusion of target groups to needs identification and decision-making, eventually strengthening organizations’ capacity to promote women’s rights and implement systemic changes in future.
