«Women’s Voice and Leadership – Ukraine» is a five-year project under Global Affairs Canada’s Women’s Voice and Leadership program. The project supports Ukrainian women’s rights organizations, activists, and collaborative platforms to achieve their institutional, programmatic and advocacy goals so they can contribute effectively to the full realization of human rights by women and girls and the advancement of gender equality in Ukraine.
If you represent a Ukrainian women’s/ feminist organization and have innovative ideas to support internally displaced women’s/ feminist organizations, development of cooperation, and mutual reinforcement of displaced and local women’s/ feminist organizations, this grant competition is for you.
Priority areas of the call:
It is expected that the support of the Women’s Voice and Leadership – Ukraine project will lead to implementation of initiatives, aimed to support internally displaced women’s/ feminist organizations; better integration of displaced organizations in host communities; growing ties with target groups and the community; involvement of displaced organizations in local decision-making, and also development of cooperation among displaced and local women’s/ feminist organizations of Ukraine through establishment of cooperation modalities, renovation of the displaced organizations’ organizational capacity, mutual reinforcement of organizations with experience and best practices exchange, pooling of resources and implementation of joint projects designed to support women and girls – both IDPs and residents of host communities – in crisis condition due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Initiatives of internally displaced women’s/ feminist organizations, as well as partner projects of at least two organizations – one from the host community and one displaced, are eligible for support within the call for proposals.
Partner projects are projects based on common feminist values of two or more WROs, with priorities, target groups, regional and thematic coverage and expected results identified jointly by all partners. All organizations which take part in the initiative shall have an agreement on all planned activities. It is expected that the implementation of partner projects will be coordinated among partners on regular basis and partners will share responsibilities.
Any of the partner organizations may take responsibility for the project administration and be an applicant. Please note that partner projects will be given priority.
